# Asset monitoring

> See every asset's alert status day by day on one screen.

**Asset Monitoring** gives you one screen showing how your assets have been doing, based on alerts from the last 7 days.

## Open it

Click **Asset Monitoring** in the left sidebar. The **Assets Monitor** page lists each asset as a card, with its status for each of the recent days.

## Use it

* **Search** for an asset by name with the search box.
* **Filter** the list with the filter icon in the top right.
* **Refresh** with the refresh icon to load the latest status.
* Click the arrow on an asset's card to open it.

## Where the alerts come from

Status is based on alerts from your meters, whether readings are entered by hand or sent by [sensors](/sensors). Set each meter's limits and out-of-range action so problems show up here. See [Meter alerts](/meter-alerts).
