# Branch preferences

> Set the currency, language, timezone, date format and look of each branch.

Each branch has its own preferences, so a plant in India and one in Europe can each use their own currency, language and timezone.

## Change branch preferences

**1. Open settings**

Click your organisation name at the top of the left sidebar and choose **Settings**. Make sure the branch selector shows the branch you want to change.

**2. Find Branch Preferences**

It is the first section on the page.

**3. Change what you need**

| Setting | What it controls |
| - | - |
| **Branch** | The branch name. Click the pencil icon to rename it |
| **Currency** | The currency for prices and costs in this branch, such as INR (Indian Rupee) |
| **Dashboard colour** | The accent colour of the branch's dashboard |
| **Timezone** | The branch's timezone, such as Asia/Kolkata |
| **Language** | The default language stored for the branch |
| **Date & Time** | How dates and times are shown, such as DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM |

> [!NOTE]
>
> The currency is used across the branch, for example for an asset's **Asset Purchase Price** and for part costs.

## Language

Opmaint has two language settings:

* **Language** under **Branch Preferences**: the default language for the branch.
* **App Language**, lower on the **Settings** page: the language the app is shown in.

Available languages are **English**, **German**, **Spanish**, **Gujarati**, **Hindi** and **Tamil**. In the language picker, type in **Search language** to find one quickly.

> [!TIP]
>
> Setting the language to Hindi, Tamil or Gujarati helps technicians who are more comfortable in their own language.

## Organisation logo

Under **Organization Logo**, click **Upload Logo**. The recommended size is 256 x 256 pixels, up to 2 MB.
