# Downtime schedule

> Mark plant shutdowns and holidays so preventive work orders do not repeat during them.

If your branch shuts down, for a planned plant shutdown, a festival holiday or a store refit, you do not want a pile of preventive work orders created for days nobody is there. The downtime schedule stops that.

Preventive work orders do not repeat during scheduled downtime.

## Schedule downtime

**1. Open the downtime schedule**

Click your organisation name at the top of the left sidebar, choose **Settings**, then click **Downtime Schedule**.

**2. Pick the start day**

On the **Calendar** tab, click the first day of the downtime. Use the arrows to move between months.

**3. Pick the end day**

Click again on the last day of the downtime to set the end date.

To change a period, click it on the calendar to edit it. Switch to the **List** tab to see all scheduled downtime.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The downtime schedule applies to the branch you are in. Set it up separately for each branch.
