# Request portals

> Create a public form so people without an Opmaint account can report problems, and share it by link or QR code.

A request portal is a public form for reporting problems. Anyone with the link or QR code can submit a request, without an Opmaint account. Submissions arrive in **Requests** like any other request.

Use portals for floor staff, store teams, tenants, visitors, or anyone who spots a problem but does not use Opmaint.

## Create a portal

**1. Open request portals**

In the left sidebar, click **Request Portals**, then click **+ Create Portal**.

**2. Name and brand it**

Enter a **Portal Title**. Add a **Logo URL** if you want your logo on the form.

**3. Set availability**

* **Portal Active**: keep this on to accept submissions. Turn it off to pause the portal.
* **Expires At** (optional): the date and time the portal stops accepting submissions.

**4. Choose who gets the requests**

In **Notify Full Users**, select the full users that requests from this portal should be assigned to.

**5. Choose the form fields**

Under **Configure Form Fields**, turn each field on or off, and tick **Required** for the ones people must fill. The fields are **Request Title**, **Location**, **Priority**, **Video**, **Asset**, **Description**, **Images**, **Files**, **Email** and **Phone**.

The **Portal Preview** on the right shows exactly what people will see.

**6. Protect against spam**

Under **Additional Settings**:

* **Enable Captcha** to block automated submissions.
* **Max Requests Per Hour Per IP** limits how often one device can submit.
* **Max Submissions** caps the total number of submissions. Enter **0** for unlimited.

**7. Create**

Click **Create Portal**.

## Share a portal

**1. Open the share options**

On the **Request Portals** page, click **Share** on the portal's row.

**2. Choose how to share**

* **Copy Link** to paste it into WhatsApp, email or a website.
* **Download QR** to print the QR code and stick it on walls, machines or counters.
* **Open Link** to see the live portal yourself.

> [!TIP]
>
> A printed QR code near the equipment, with a line like "Scan to report a problem", gets far more reports than a link people have to remember.

## Edit or delete a portal

On the **Request Portals** page, click the **...** menu on the portal's row and choose **Edit** or **Delete**. The list also shows how many **Submitted Requests** each portal has received.
